How referral codes work

Every Sessional account is assigned a unique referral code. When someone signs up using your referral link, the connection is recorded between your accounts.

The reward is applied the first time the new user starts a paid Plus or Pro subscription.

  • Email it to a colleague directly
  • Share it in a WhatsApp or group chat
  • Post it on social media or a professional forum
  • Include it in your email signature

When you earn the reward

The reward is applied when the person you referred upgrades to a paid Plus or Pro subscription. Signing up or verifying an email address does not trigger it.

Get a discount coupon applied to your next monthly payment.

Both discounts are applied automatically as soon as the referred user completes checkout.

Tip
If you are on the free Basic plan when your referral subscribes, the reward stays on your account and is applied automatically the next time you upgrade.

Frequently asked questions

Do I get rewarded if someone signs up but never subscribes?
No. The reward is triggered only when the person you referred starts a paid Plus or Pro subscription.
What if I am on the free Basic plan when my referral upgrades?
The discount is parked on your account and is automatically applied to your first paid invoice the next time you upgrade.
How long does the discount last?
The discount is applied once, to your next monthly payment after the referral completes checkout.
Can I refer someone who already has a Sessional account?
No. Referral codes only work during sign-up.
