Your profile
How organisations see you and how to control what they can see.
Profile layout
Your profile settings are organised into five tabs. Public profile and booking requests sit alongside billing and account controls, so the whole setup stays in one place.
Name, photo, biography, location, contact details, and your public slug URL.
Specialty, registration number, employment type, pension scheme, organisations worked with, and clinical skills.
Control which fields are shown on your public profile and set your overall visibility.
Manage your subscription, payment method, promo codes, and billing history.
Change your email or password, find your referral code, and manage your account security.
Photo upload
Upload a professional photo from the Personal tab.
- Formats: JPEG, PNG, or WebP
- Maximum size: 2 MB
- Recommended: a clear, front-facing headshot with good lighting
If you do not upload a photo, your initial is displayed instead.
Public slug URL
Every profile has a unique URL in the format sessional.co.uk/locums/your-slug.
Share this link directly with organisations, include it in emails, or add it to your CV. On mobile, use the share button to open your device's share sheet. On desktop, it copies the link to your clipboard.
What is always visible
When your profile is Published or Unlisted, the following fields are always shown to organisations:
- Your name with the title you set on your profile
- Primary specialty
- General location area
- Biography
- Profile photo or initial placeholder
Toggleable fields
From the Visibility tab, you can show or hide each optional field independently.
- Registration number
- Organisations worked with
- Employment type
- Pension scheme
- Phone number
- Exact postcode
- Additional specialties
- CV link
All optional fields default to hidden. You choose what to share.
Three-tier visibility
Your profile appears in the directory. Organisations can find you by searching and send booking requests.
Your profile is not in the directory, but anyone with your direct link can view it and send requests.
Your profile is hidden. The URL shows a not available message and no new requests can be sent.
Profile preview card
The Visibility tab includes a live preview card showing exactly how your profile appears to organisations.
Changing your email
To change your login email, go to the Account tab and enter your new email address. Sessional sends a verification link to the new address, and your email is not updated until you click it.
Changing your password
To change your password, go to the Account tab. You must enter your current password before setting a new one.
Referral code
Your unique referral code is displayed on the Account tab. Share it with colleagues and both of you receive a discount on the next billing period when they subscribe.
