Draft your profile summary from your CV
Skip the blank page. Upload your CV and get a first draft of your profile summary to edit.
What it does
Your public profile summary is what organisations read before they book you, and a blank box is hard to start. On your profile, under Biography, you can upload your CV as a PDF (or paste the text) and Sessional drafts a short professional summary from it. The draft drops straight into your Biography field for you to review and edit before you save.
How to use it
- Go to your profile and find the Biography field under Professional summary.
- In “Draft this from your CV”, upload a PDF or paste your CV text, then select Draft summary.
- The draft appears in the Biography box. Edit it so it sounds like you, then Save.
Your CV is saved to your documents
When you upload a CV as a file, a copy is saved to your document store under the CV category, so you have it to hand to reuse or share later. You can rename, recategorise, or delete it there at any time. Pasted text is not saved.
It only summarises, it never invents
Note
Your data and privacy
To draft the summary, the text of your CV is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API). Your CV is never used to train AI models, and the extracted text is not retained after the draft is generated (the saved file in your documents is separate, and yours to delete). See how we handle AI data for the full detail.
